When I look at old sketchbooks
and early work I see the roots of
my present work.

Peculiar shapes and abstract marks
make up the vast open space of the
Volterra landscape.

The three water drawings shown are
a confirmation of my on-going attraction
to beach, water, and air.

The shaped feather/leaf deals with
images, shapes, and space beyond
the conventional rectangle.

These threads and images persist over
time as I search to express them in
ever stronger ways.
