These kites with their flowing fabrics
and odd shapes, nudge the viewer
out of a passive comfort zone to
experience a sense of freedom,
curiosity and the unpredictable.
They direct the viewer to the open
space around them, then pull them
in to discover the kites’ peculiarities.
