Per Aspera Ad Astra, translated from Latin as Through Hardship to the Stars is a nine-foot diptych. It was part of a site-specific installation for Cassina, a high-end Italian furniture store in SOHO New York.
It’s oil paint with wood dowels on shaped canvas and mounts flat on the wall with no need for a frame.
