Portfolios > CONSTRUCTS: Objects That Transcend Conventional Categorization

Construct: to make or form by combining or arranging parts or elements.

Working in a sketchbook is a liberating experience, free from the pressure to create a perfect piece of artwork. In this space, my curiosity and imagination run wild, producing intriguing and peculiar thumbnail drawings. These sketches are at the foundation of my new series, CONSTRUCTS.

In CONSTRUCTS, I explore the interplay of lines, shapes, and colors on 20x24 inch raw canvases, creating objects that transcend conventional categorization. Each piece is an invitation to viewers, encouraging them to engage with these constructs and interpret them through their own unique perspectives. By breaking away from traditional boundaries, I aim to create a dialogue about the fluidity and complexity of form and meaning.
