When I look at old sketchbooks
and early work I see the roots of
my present work.
Peculiar shapes and abstract marks
make up the vast open space of the
Volterra landscape in the More
Early Work portfolio. The three water
drawings shown are confirmation of my
ongoing attraction to beach, water,
and air. The shaped Feather/Leaf and
Rolling Stones I & II deal with
images, shapes, and space beyond
the conventional rectangle.
These threads and images persist over
time as I search to express them in
ever stronger ways.
